I just got this update on a local public screening for the End of Suburbia
"We have an End of Suburbia screening confirmed for Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at the 6&B Garden (rain date Friday, September 9th). The Garden is located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan on the southwest corner of East 6th Street and Avenue B. It's a pleasant outdoor setting, and the garden folks are known for holding lots of performances, screenings and workshop activities for the community. There will be a Q&A discussion following the screening which Dan Miner has agreed to guide, and you are all welcome to attend and participate."
I have seen the power of this film to open eyes and generate good discussion and awareness of peak oil. Use it to raise awareness in your local area. If you haven't seen it, you can rent it from netflix.
For those of you in Staten Island, I have a tentative date for December 11th to show the film at the Unitarian Church of Staten Island. I will give more details closer to the date.
